Carlito's Wake

Two-tone devil's food/peanut butter cookies just got pulled out of the oven to cool, so let us move this along quickly. It may well be that all three of the right center back choices make my final clipboard and only Besler is in the 23.

Then again, the Ream resurgence has gone on longer than the one being enjoyed by Gooch in the same league, with more versatility (cover for left back anyone?), more of a smooth criminality (the better to partner with an air marshal) and better passing ability. Of course, he does not have as much experience, something sadly evident in recent Brooks play. If he does not settle down soon, we may again see the name Bocanegra around here.

Matt Besler
Tim Ream
John Anthony Brooks

If Boca got a call up would he go? I hope he would.

Haha! Awesome title.

@downintexas: Maybe but let's be real that he's done with the U.S. MNT.

Bocanegra? Has he improved since 2010? Has age worked in his favor unlike 100% of all athletes? Is Boca even playing well for Chivas?

Klinsman is smart enough to know that Boca is not the amswer. He's moved on.

I think JK probably has Brooks above Ream in his LCB depth chart.

That may well be the case. But I think, if pressed right now, his top four would be Besler and the three rightys. Both Gooch and Goodson have played the left side under Klinsi before.
