I am not sure what either country's duo thinks this would accomplish in the way of quelling improper foreign policy behavior, but I suppose the general idea of excluding unjustified warriors and human rights abusers from such events as World Cup is a fair topic for debate. I can understand arguments for both keeping a barrier to separate the positive unity of sport and for "losing" the bad guest's party invitation. It is not an easy question, whichever side you may fall toward.
And while this is one of those rare occasions where politics is legit ground to tread, there will be a leash. Let's keep any discussion related to the concept above; even minor detours into homestyle partisan bickering will be dumped in the virtual can.

Do you really want Sepp Blatter deciding what is appropriate foreign policy behavior?
Where did I say that?
Should have said "Do we really want Sepp Blatter ..."
That ambiguous plural "you" is where rednecks have it right.
"y'all" for the win.
In case it was unclear, no, I do not find involving Sepp Blatter a solution to anything. Unless he knows the secret sauce recipe from the chicken in a basket at Restaurant Schlüssel in Tuggen.
@ Paul: I never say y'all. It would not sound right anyway.
I not only am for multiple players from one club team representing the national team, but it also makes sense from a chemistry stand point.
SKC, not to be confused with KFC, has two virtual locks for the 23, and most probably the starting 11.
benny feilhaber has to be on the team this summer. it just makes to much sense. I think him going to brasil this winter was probably a clincher in that regard. his play on the field, and his desire and passion to play for his country, speaks for itself.
that is three strong players from one club team, and that is what helps build good national teams. to bad leweke wasn't gm in kc, instead of tor.
jozy feasts on feilhaber balls!!!
@dikranovich: Feilhaber doesn't need to be on the team this summer and his odds of even making the 30 man preliminary roster are low.
I meant Nate's initial comment. By which you thought, it seems, he meant you personally, rather than the general, plural "you".
Gotcha. I think we just created an advanced Abbot & Costello routine.
