I mean, a clipboard does not know anything about some uncertainty and prognosis waits. It's reality, sucka, deal with it. On a day we got bad availability news about two USMNT right backs (and a juicy good bit about Klinsi's win streak over Jogi), it's time to just get on with it. This post drops the obvious situation in goal, and you will bear with me while I start work on this challenging logic problem called the line-up/field stable.
Tim Howard
Brad Guzan
Nick Rimando
Try not to fall over from that tornado surprise.

I think Julian Green just replaced Nick as the 3rd "keeper"
Sam Cronin is a player who needs to be moved into the national team picture. For sure!!!
@dikranovich: The midfield is way too stacked. If he gets a U.S. MNT call up it will be in the next January camp at best.
Well, these are the gentlemen I think are definites to make the squad:
GK: Howard, Guzan, and Rimando
DF: Cameron, Besler, Gonzalez, Beasley, F. Johnson, Goodson, and Evans
MF: Bradley, Jones, Diskerud, Zusi, and Donovan
FW: Dempsey, Johannsson, Altidore, and Green
So that effectively leaves 4 spots up for grabs.
To me these are the guys that will fill those 4 spots: E. Johnson, Bedoya, Beckerman, and Shea.
Only one of those I could see change is Shea for Brad Davis.
Obviously Cameron is the key to all this given that he is first choice back up covering 3 positions (DM, RB, and CB), if he goes down injured than the whole thing explodes for Jurgen...
id have to say that right as of this moment, you have to put gooch onyewu right up there.
hot hands are hard to pass up, with the experience, and he might just be the perfect complement to besler.
We are facing teams with a mix of speed and power, after the Ukraine (while not entirely his fault) you really think that's a good idea?
I don't want to see Gooch anywhere near this squad.
I think so many people wildly exaggerate Gooch's flaws. And right now, he plays in probably the fastest-paced league in the world.
Frantic pace does not necessarily equal fast paced.
You're right. Frantic-paced is much faster.
"if he goes down injured than the whole thing explodes for Jurgen..."
@J.G. Updike: Not really.
Also shea and davis aren't likely to make the WC team.
dikranovich, stop talk about the other posters. Talk about the topic.
