The Offside Flag of Hope

I have seen a loooot of UK reports suggesting, if not next to insisting, that Eric Lichaj is set to miss a month with a pelvic injury flare-up that will require surgery. However, I just spoke to Nottingham Forest and they do not actually know yet what this setback will cost the World Cup hopeful in playing time.

Now, that is not to suggest it won't end up being a month out (or worse) for him, or that it will definitely be less than a month - just that they have not yet been given a prognosis by the medical staff. Of course, once they know, you will find a report at MLSS. Until then, we cross our fingers for gentle news.

AND we've got Stuey out 6-9 months, AND it's snowing in March. :((((((

Yeah, I'm not even sure what to say about Stu, feel so bad for the guy.

As for the crazy winter, that has mostly been confined to the States. Most other places have been unseasonably warm. Here, the temp has stayed above 40F for most of the whole season, hitting the freezing mark maybe once for about five minutes. It was 65F on Monday and Tuesday, and we have not had a drop of snow all winter.

Can we really call Lichaj a WC hopeful? How bout we refer to him as someone who hopes JK will acknowledge his existence?

Well, he did play twice for the US in November and likely would have been called the last time if fit. If he is active by mid-April, I would certainly say he had hope.

@DrewVT6: Acknowledge his existence? Umm JK called up Lichaj back in November like Greg just said.

Looks like the hip issue was mis-reported... He's getting double-hernia surgery...
