Guys. there is a bit of an odd story on ESPNFC that seems to imply that Arsenal looked at and then decided no to pursue Michael Bradley. (Very indirectly - Bob bought up that Arsenal was looking at the same time Michael was looking to leave Roma.) Any substance to that idea, or was the reporter taking a remark out of context?
By the way, if Arsenal did by Bradley, I would have to by a Bradley-Arsenal shirt for every day of the week. So just as well - it saved me some money.
Well glad he landed at a better club...
Interesting. Here's the story in question, as I had to look it up: http://www.espnfc.com/arsenal/story/1862799/arsenal-biased-against-us-in-decision-not-to-sign-michael-bradleysays-bob-bradley
Anyway, what do you want Greg to validate? Bob didn't imply that Arsenal were looking at MB. That was exactly his point, that they weren't interested when he feels they should have been.
My first, quick read through made me think there was something to justify Bob bringing up Arsenal specifically. Maybe not. But the URl title is "...biased in the decision not to sign..."
If there was a decision NOT to do something, that implies it was something under consideration. Was it every discussed? Or is Bob saying it should have been? Just wondering.
Otherwise, it is odd. After all, there were a lot of teams shopping for talent in January. Why bring up Arsenal specifically? As a hypothetical or was there a real possibility?
Anyone got anything on these Green to Spurs rumors?
The grass at White Hart Lane is generally green, so I'd say it's probably a go.
... I slay myself.
Yeah, the article certainly does not make it clear whether he was shopped there or was on a browsing list of their possible targets at one time or what. Any of this would be news to me.
