Yo, Philly!

You are probably gonna like this one. I have learned that Philly Union are talking with Al-Ahli assistant manager Fabio Cannavaro - yes, that Fabio Cannavaro - for their head coach job. And I am told that talks are heading in a positive direction. I will have a full MLSS report at some point, but probably not right away, so stay tuned.

You can't teach what he did.

Great coaches are often guys who had to work hard to be mediocre. They had to learn the game, be smart and maximize thier abilities. That's not always the case, but they are more often the Mike Petkes Jay Heaps and Caleb Porters of the world more so than the Mardonnas. Being mortal helps them relate and understnad the mortals playing for them.

This guy is a freak of nature and tempermaent. It would be fascinating to watch him coach...
