Your USMNT line-up v. Ireland

Oi... gotta be honest, if the below plays as it is typed, there is not a great deal going on that I am instantly wild about.

really we are still putting our hopes on Wondo

Now with this lineup, and an extra defensive mid, we should expect to see nice runs from chandler and FJ into the attack.

If morales is the real deal, I expect him to show it today.

And at least we will be bringing on some real speed in the second half.

From previous reports, I believe Rubin had an illness. This might be the reason why he is not starting.

Perhaps the Wondo-Jozy combo catches fire. (The hopes of a crazed Yank.)

Well, at least Mexico lost also.

The coaching performance seems to have dropped off from the World Cup as well as the players. But Hey, Wondo got an assist...

So... what will the excuses be for this butt whipping?

Can all the Beckerman acolytes stop pretending he is good at this level. The pace of the game just overwhelms him time and time again.

Sure...Beckerman is the problem. After all, he's the one who said, "Hey, make me the lone d-mid in a 4-1-3 -2! Yeah, that'll work."

A line to this effect is coming shortly in my US ratings at MLSS: Klinsi is right now simply a chef that is over-handling fresh ingredients.

Because everything worth saying can be put into food terms.

Mmmm. Food.

He's a guy who is trying to prove how smart he is. There's nothing worse...

Yes tony, there is something worse. Actually, a lot of things. Like just as an example. Worse than proving how smart you are, would be proving how dumb you are, that is usually worse.

dik,

You are a pro at that!

Beckerman is not the problem, but he is also not the answer. How many poor giveaways and aimless passes does one guy need to have before anyone realizes that Beckerman is great against CONCACAF and that's it. Geoff Cameron needs to be the guy and seeing how Hughes at Stoke is just finally giving him some time in the midfield he might be able to pull it off for the U.S.
