Not So Fast - Part 3,712

I have been informed that these oodles of reports all ready to stick Brek Shea in a purple Orlando shirt are wildly premature, at absolute best. That is not to insist the still-Stoke winger cannot end up there eventually, but it is certainly not a near-done deal. And the last I heard, he had a couple of Championship sides interested in buying. So... let's make a fat U-turn to decaf on this one.

And lookin' at my Gucci it's about that time (a ka the January window), so I will have much more fun things to spill about a long list of subjects very soon...

Soares to Serie A? Can you confirm?

Sounds right, but I cannot as of yet. Been trying for some days now.

Can you confirm that Juan Agudelo did indeed binge watch Dragon Ball Z?

Has it not become obvious that Agudelo is joining Stoke in January once he gets this Cypriot passport sorted? They want him, he wants them - and the passport makes everyone happy.

As for Shea, good luck to him. Hope he does well in Orlando - and at least the initial hype-fest has set him up for life after 2 and a half years on silly money in England.

Shea should definitely come back to MLS. He needs playing time, and he's been successful here. We all remember when he was lighting up the league and was viewed as an asset to the national team. So please, forget England and come home, Brek.

Hey Greg, any word on the Mix to Tijuana move & how that seemingly came out of nowhere?

Greg Seltzer said...

Trying to figure that out. But if it so, we can know it likely did not come from nowhere. Mix is just one of those guys who really prefers to do such thing out of the genuine public glare/rumor mill grinder.

turn that u-turn back around, greg. orlando confirmed the signing bahahah

It sounds like mix disk is dismissing the rumored move to xolos. So much for his keeping out of the genuine public bla bla bla. Tijuana doesnt have enough young America. Norte goal scorers now anyway

@ brian:

Ermmm, I relayed three days ago that it was not on the edge of being done, as was being reported by everyone and their mother. It got done today. So I am not sure what I am supposed to walk back.

You described reports of Shea to Orlando as "wildly premature, at absolute best" and "certainly not a near-done deal" one day after the Orlando Sentinel (always spot on for Orlando City transfer news) confirmed the deal was done and only three days before he was paraded around in a press conference. You and your sources were quite obviously wrong.

Dude. Mark Hughes said two days ago that they were trying to get it done. In other words, it was not done as of two days ago. Three days ago I relayed from a source who would certainly know that it was not all but done, as was being reporting all over the place. I never mentioned the Orlando paper, never said there were no talks, clearly stated it could happen in the end.

If that counts as some foul to you, well, so be it.
