Kicking off the goodie parade...

I have learned that Colorado playmaker Dillon Powers - fresh off receiving an Italian passport - is also now receiving interest from Atalanta and Palermo, with a possible view to a summer offer. I also suspect he has at least one suitor in another European country, but let me get back to you later on that one.

And yep, the title means there is more goodie-liciousness to come very soon.

6. The first five were fairly easy core players. In six months time, Dillon Powers will be looked at as a lock for Russia.

Mix disk is going to have to work real hard in his first two seasons in MLS to match the numbers powers put up in his first two seasons.

That's cool, but what are the odds of him actually getting decent minutes? I like Powers but he dropped off big time in his second season with Colorado.

Yeah, but then again, the entire team did.

Danny boy, powers has five goals in each of his first two seasons in MLS. He had six assist in his rookie season and nine last season.

The first half of this MLS season may or may not be telling, because Americans have historically had that chip on their shoulders about moves to Europe and it has often lead to a down half season or so before moving abroad.

I think powers will bring a strong game for the Rapids, and that will get him on the gold cup, and that could put him in Italy, running on all cylinders. Then again he might love playing with Sam Cronin so much that he sticks around MLS for a couple more seasons

Maybe it should also be noted that Dillon had two goals and one assist in two cup games last season. Nothing from one cup game his rookie season

It should also be noted that second year drop-off happens to new players often.

Thanks for the notes, guys.
