Show-Off

While we wait on the Cole Grossman video update, you can check out César Romero's Armenian PL-leading 19th goal of the season. Though it came in a losing cause, the striker moved his overall total for the campaign to 23 tallies with a temporary equalizer consisting of a loooong free kick and one happy bounce.

Great atmosphere at that stadium

Agreed, Demko.

I mean, are supporters banned from matches in Armenia? Thanks to Greg, I've seen clips of 8-9 of Romero's goals this season I struggle to recall seeing anyone in the stands for any of them. At least this stadium looks like it was built after the Cold War. Many of the others looked like they were on the campus of a Sovite bloc era East German trade school or something. Talk about depressing ...

armenia is one of the poorer countries in the world. i cannot vouch for armenia specifically, but i know in belarus (another former SSR) sports is just not a big industry. people just dont care about watching sports, for the most part. part of that is a population that has less leisure time and part of it is just a culture that doesn't care that much about football.
