A forced pause

Forgive my silence these last days, I caught a harsh case of food poisoning this weekend and I am still trying to rest my way back to 100% before the Under-20 World Cup kicks off. I will be back to my usual prattle ASAP.

Honestly it seems like that's inevitable while traveling unless you're sticking to the most antiseptic (read: least fun) food where you are. Get well soon!

Too much exotic fare on the vacation? Get well.

Actually, no. Seems I had some bad hummus, but I think having just come back from a place with some exotic bacteria has exacerbated it. The good news is I have no fever and I can now keep down simple food/water and I am able to sleep okay. Only the on-and-off stomach pain, dizziness, low energy and chills are sticking around. I thought I was about back to 100 percent, so I had some plain light meat chicken and avocado today trying to build my energy, but clearly I made the move too soon and am paying for it now.

My wife and I just got back from spending two weeks in South America. When we got back, we ordered Chinese because we didn't feel like cooking after our 10 hr flight. Then my wife got food poisoning from her chicken and broccoli. It sucks. Hope you feel better.
