I have been informed that Spurs have now rejected a second loan offer from the continent for DeAndre Yedlin. As you already know, I heavily suspect the first offer that was turned away came from Anderlecht. I do not yet know where this second "no" has landed. Stay tuned...

Can someone enlighten me as to why Tottenham (or any club in this type of situation) wouldn't agree to a loan deal? Is it because they have plans to give him first-team minutes in the very near future? Do they not value Anderlecht as a top club, in a decent European league? Did Anderlecht not guarantee enough playing time for Yedlin? Or did Yedlin somehow refuse a loan?
I too am confused by this. It looks like, if I were being honest, both deals had an option to buy. Maybe Tottenham didn't want that aspect, just a straight up loan?
dr jon, wouldn't you think that options to buy are pre arranged? I mean tottenham does own yedlin, and they are looking to get him playing time, not sell him. Anderlecht is more of a selling club, and they are also pretty stacked at right back with andy najar becoming a star.
Reports that Sunderland are interested?
I'll just leave this here...

@dikranovich - I would imagine so. Their behavior is so strange that I am grasping at straws to explain it.
