And so it begins...

This tweet is concerning US Under-14 skipper/right back John Hilton. Beat the rush and start imagining the possibilities now; the last American to go the Ajax way at a tender age was just some guy named John O'Brien.

Haha, I figured you would jump on that news pretty quick. Would love to see Rubin or Hyndman move there at some point too. Wishful thinking I know.

Every time I hear JOB mentioned, I wonder what could have been. So much talent.
Good luck to the lad. Hope things go well and that Ajax can mold him into a great player.

I distinctly remember after the 2002 World Cup doing the math on how old Donovan, Mathis and O'Brien would be at the 2010 World Cup. Idiot boy.

@Jacob, you always got to hope for longevity. Remember when Mathis came out and said he finally started to drink WATER before games? What a crazy, gifted finisher.

We could have used Mathis in 06, that's for sure.

Mathis had a lot of Joe Strummer in him -- for better and for worse -- and not just the Mohawk he sported there for a while.
