German Bacon

I just spoke to Aron Jóhannsson's agent and his personal terms negotiations - and hence, his move - to Werder Bremen are nearly done. When completed, it will be a four-year deal. A full MLSS report will be up momentarily.

So... which American should Earnie Stewart bring in next?

Juan Agudelo, right?

Hmm. Think he is ready to step in there?

@ Nikolas:

I was a bit surprised when AZ did not chase Agudelo directly before/after his Utrecht loan. I am not sure what might have possibly changed their minds on him since. But yeah, he would certainly benefit and probably fare pretty well.

Like Greg said, surprised they didn't go for Juan Agudelo - I'm thinking Jordan Morris ends up there. Thoughts?

Julian Green

You certainly won't catch me arguing with that call! :D

Of course, he is also going nowhere until at least winter.

@ Patrick: Ohhh, in a perfect world...

Emerson Hyndman, they just sold Gudlej and are in need of a CM.

Jordan Morris.

Not sure I would like to see Hyndman there given the league defensive reputation... but the forward options seem like good calls. Morris would be pretty interesting on several levels (college player with no pro track record being just one of them). Would probably do wonders for Green but I really get the sense from reading some of his articles that he is at a kind of cross roads. The insistence on staying at the U-23s for Munich worries me a bit though I get that an experience like last year could make him unlikely to trust other coaching staffs. Green would really be my number one choice but man I think Morris would tear it up there.

Greg, what do you think the chances are that Morris goes overseas? I'd think with his NT and U23 performances and more U23 performances to come that he'd have interest.

Ered would be a good place for a player with his qualities. Better than sitting behind Clint/Obi in Seattle.

@yankee/Greg and would Morris sit in Seattle? Now would actually seem like the perfect scenario for him. Seattle obviously has a fair amount of talent but they are struggling to score. Does Sigi go to a 4-3-3 (has he ever, i cant recall?) with Dempsey in the middle of Morris and Oba? Does one of them become more of the a-mid to pair with Ozzie (assuming he gets healthy) instead? I guess I am not convinced he would sit... Sigi likes the young kids if they are talented.
