You may have noticed Sunderland debutant DeAndre Yedlin joining the assists chart in our right column tonight. Here is the how and why... and expect goal clips from AJ the Bacon and Rubio Rubin later.

I'm not a big fan of pumping up players who were involved in such a losing cause at home, but it was against a pretty solid team in citeh. Yedlin was a little culpable on several of the goals, for finding himself in no mans land, but he did bounce back to stop a fifth before halftime. Should find him some more time on the pitch. He can cross and he can pass backwards.
For my money, he was only culpable on the second, when he was short of the line and De Bruyne got through. Van Aanholt messed up the line on the third, Yedlin was not at fault. And the one with the rebound, well I cannot really fault him there. He was not in a bad position, it just managed to bounce around him.
Maybe he will learn to become a little more aggressive on defense, and learn when to really go in for a challenge. Tough opener against that level of competition, that's for sure. Crosses are worth a lot on draft kings, yedlin could be good value the next couple of weeks
Probably the best news of the day was Geoff Cameron picking up a game winning assist against tim ream and Fulham. With a late appearance going to the boy wonder, Emerson lake and hyndman
Greg, why'd you leave Bjorn's golazo out of your MLS exports article?
That was from Friday, I was still on vacation. :)
