As the USMNT gets set to face Costa Rica at Red Bull Arena, is anyone else still feeling that Aguilar gut punch? I have all sorts of thoughts about that game and looking forward, and I am sure we will delve into all that after what I would prefer is a better showing tonight.
But, seriously, sometimes I do not even want to eat when I ordinarily should. My stomach is literally still tight. Not cool.

I mean, it was a hell of a game! Definitely a classic, all-time kind of moment for North American soccer. The preference, of course, being that both teams are presenting their absolute best as far as lineups/tactics are concerned, and I'll never convince myself that we got that from the US.
Yep. I know I have been panning JK for a couple weeks now, but with this morning's nonsense about FabJo I am done. This is what we signed on for. A technical director trying to mimic a manager and throwing people under the bus intermittently so nobody realizes how poor of a job he is doing.
The insistence that DMB, who has loads of issues as a left back (not the least of which is the fact that he has real serious issues judging balls in the air), is our best choice for LB by such a large margin that he has to un-retire never made the slightest sense to me. I don't even plan on watching either of today's matches. Can't watch Klinsman Jr. run out Polster, Trapp, Alashe, and Pelosi in the first ever 4-4-0-2 formation. We always want a defensive midfielder so would could go wrong with using 4 of them?
Go eat some donuts, you know, with the lady friend.
You could be an eternal optimist and say for as bad as the US were, it was there for the taking - and I think we would have taken it had it gone to PKs.
Greg - surprised not to see anything from you on JK and Fabian Johnson? I'm worried you got so pissed you had a stroke.
