It's that time again!

What time, you ask? Time to dust off the NSC Clipboard. With the first two USMNT matches of the year in the books, I've done a little re-arranging of my personal depth charts. And by little, I mean a good bit.

As a periodic reminder, these are my preferences, not a guess at Klinsi's (which should become overtly apparent when I drop the right back list tomorrow). As always, we start in goal...

Tim Howard

Brad Guzan
Nick Rimando

In the frame: David Bingham, Sean Johnson, Luis Robles

Yep, with Guzan being benched, there is a change at the top. Meanwhile, Bill Hamid's injury has opened up competition beyond the veteran top three. Steve Clark could break into the picture by improving on last season, as could Molde youngster Ethan Horvath when they resume Europa League play.

do you know if there was any interest in horvath this past transfer period??

GREG: How close is Ethan Horvath to being "in the frame?" I know he's just 20, but I have a feeling he may be the "next one." He'll just have to shave his head if he wants to be the No. 1 'keeper at some point.

Or he could go retro and do a Tony meola mullet.

@ BrianK: I believe there were a couple calls about him, but nothing too serious and I have no specific clubs to confirm.

@ J.D.: To being in Klinsi's actual real frame? Hmm, dunno. Probably not too close. To being in my Clipboard frame? Check back with me after the Sevilla tie.

I don't think Nick Rimando is the one of the best 3 goalkeepers in MLS anymore. I know he's the go-to MLS guy, but even his distribution with his feet has declined. There are better options to start a match which means there are much better options to start getting experience as the 3rd string guy.
