Your USMNT LIne-Up v Guatemala

Well, it seems a whole lot of sense has returned just in time. My prediction for tonight? The USMNT whoops that ass.

Couldn't we have made sense with the lineup last Friday? Zusi is fine but why not Nagbe?

1 - Yes.

2 - I will just thank heaven for small tactical miracles, so I'm fine with Zusi in this spot.

Mix really needs to learn to become a grittier player. His future for the national team is as a defensive mid. Mix disk should sit back tonight and take notice of how beckerman just bottles up the Guatemala attack.

Did some one kidnap Klinsman??

Well, that was the intentionally dumbest thing I've heard all day. I'm not going to lie: I have zero patience for this tonight. Any nonsense from you and I will disappear everything you post here.

Obviously, that was directed at our very own NSC Beetlejuice.

This is a nice lineup. Non of us are enamoured with Castillo, but he does have Cameron next to him, so that's good cover. And if he has attributes, it is his pace and offense, so Castillo probably picks up some points tonight. If we see old Bradley tonight, we must contribute it to the presence of KB, it will help underscore what our team is all about. Bring it!!!

Is it a joke that he is starting someone who he didn't even call in for the last match? I am pretty sure at this point Klinsi just throws names against the wall.

At least the formation makes sense and people are only slightly playing out of position. I am sure we will win because it's a home match but man....

Might as well go for that third before the half!

Did Bradley intentionally get that yellow so as to guarantee he is available for T&T? The Ref was barely carding anything and let much worse go by.

Still some issues but nice to see an overall good performance.

I'll say this, I'm glad we won, but this game (and the U-23 result in Texas) did nothing to address my concerns with Klinsmann or the program he's running as a whole.

Also, it's cool that Pulisic got the play, but wouldn't he have been more useful against Colombia? I know there was talk about cap-tying him, but I hadn't heard any real noise on his part about representing anyone other than the USA.

zackL, if these players were allowed to play for the Olympic team, im sure they would have. club teams are not required to release players for Olympic qualifying, the fact that the Olympic qualifying and WCQ fell on the same dates does not matter. these club teams are only required to release the players for WCQers. yes, if pulisic had been released by dortmond to play in the Olympic qualifier, I think he would have played there.

coach klinsmann has this summer to show what he is made of. his future lies in his own hands, as well as his players hands.
