I understand some may feel that the bigger news is John Anthony Brooks pulling out of camp with an injury, but one has to take notice of Sacha Kljestan finally getting his first USMNT call in over two years. With Clint Dempsey, this an interesting and a fitting move from Klinsi.
Does this mean the boss is heading back toward a 4-3-3? Or will he force the Red Bulls playmaker out wide, and we'll have another lesser showing from this oft-misused asset?

Isn't it more likely that he sees no time at all? Actually what am i thinking? Classic Klinsman would be to start klejstan in a qualifier after he initially isn't called in. Maybe at left back ;)
One has to think if Benny had just kept his mouth shut maybe, just maybe he would have gotten the call.
Also, typical Klinsman, lets replace a defender with a midfielder. Or as DaM says an experimental LB
pretty sure Jurgen will throw Kljestan at CB.
Speaking of misused, Greg - what's up with your man Mix? He run over Viera's dog? Is he going to play anywhere while the transfer window is still open?
Great commentary fellas!!!

Maybe the real reason Sacha is brought in is for Zardes' broken foot....
I think/hope Klejstan is part of the plans for how the midfield will shape up in the absence of Jones, rather than a direct swap for Brooks. I know this happened prior to Jones leaving camp, but Klinsmann had to know there was a minimal chance that he would be able to contribute. To me that was to strangest call-up. Why take an injured player away from rehab, make him travel across the country just to verify he is too injured to play and then send him home again?
Anyway, it will be nice to see Klejstan suit up for the NT again.
dwc. How was bringing Jones on strange. It seems like JK always brings in one player who is injured and can't play.
That is true downintexas. Guess every team needs its traditions
