Just had a few words with a few folks. Stoke City has made an offer in the area of $3 million for FC Dallas winger Brek Shea. The club said no and aren't really looking to sell, but Stoke are still trying to negotiate. As of this moment, I am unaware of any competing offers. Stay tuned.
NOT AN UPDATE, SO MUCH AS A REMINDER: You may remember my 2011 mega-list of European clubs that came out to watch Shea in person, but it slipped my mind in the wee hours of last night. As you can see, Stoke was on that list, so he's been in their sights for a long time. Like the Michael Bradley saga, it shows that sometimes these goodie situations take months or more to fully evolve into offer-making. Just added that to fill in the blanks a little.
