Reverse Goodie

Let's talk about a European star dude that eagerly wants to try out MLS - and one near his physical prime, no less. I am referring to Arsenal/Germany attacker Lukas Podolski. Orlando City rejected the chance to sign him late last year and fellow expansion side NYCFC eventually followed suit. I am told that the Gunners are now likely willing to A) loan him out intially & B) pay a considerable chunk of his salary. Seriously, everyone involved is pretty eager to get him moved across the Atlantic - he just needs a team that believes he's worth the expense.

So if your Major League Soccer crew is one versatile, dynamic offensive threat away from contending and has a DP slot to burn, get 'em on the horn already. Full MLSS report to come at some point in the near future.

Sorry, my side doesn't start until 2017. I'd love to have him though.

Certainly NYRB could use another attacker, especially one can score from the left. Podolski would be big upgrade over the rumored McClean.

In a fantasy world, Fire trades Patrick Nyarko to anyone once he's fit in exchange for Garber Bucks, uses the money to buy down Kennedy Igboanike's contract below DP status, and brings in Podolski. Guly do Prado and Quincy Amerikwa move on, and there's finally a legit attacking corps in Chicago. A Polish-born, German-vetted striker in Chicago would bring a ton of people to The Suburb.

Columbus would be fantastic. Have a DP slot open. He could up top or wide.

Kamara, Higuain, Poldolski, Finlay. Meram off the bench and spot starting.

I would love to see him in Columbus, but it doesn't seem like guys with his type of pedigree look too far from the coasts when picking a MLS team. I'd love to see him in Montreal.

I'd love to see him in New England. A front four of Davies, Podolski, Nguyen and either Agudelo or Bunbury? Scary. Hell, Bunbury can play fullback!
